Gas Engine

The sketch shows a typical modern gas engine. Gas engines are normally dual fuelled, i.e. gas and petrol and are commonly used for driving an alternator or synchronous generator (as shown) for the production of electricity. These engines are typically found on farms and effluent treatment works where the constant supply of Methane gas can be utilised.
Note :- Periodic Examinations can be useful in predicting internal problems.
