These cranes are mainly used on construction sites and large engineering projects. Originally designed as an excavator, their main use has changed over the years and they are now commonly used as cranes. They range in capacity from small 5 ton units with special rigging arrangements and attachments, to well over 400 ton. All machines have lattice construction jibs which typically range in length from 30 - 300 feet and are fitted with main and auxillary hoists.
