Stairlift

These lifts were designed for invalids to use in private houses. They incorporate a chair which travels on a runway track mounted along the stairway. These lifts have a capacity of one person and because of the lightness of their duty, are not usually found elsewhere. They do, however, occasionally appear in Nursing Homes.
