Derrick Type Tower Crane
|
|
These cranes are similar to a saddle type tower crane and are usually rail mounted. Instead of a fixed jib, the jib is arranged to move up and down and in this way, the radius is altered. Unlike the saddle type, the crane does not have a counter weight to balance the main jib. Capacities, mast heights and jib lengths are much the same as a saddle type tower crane.
