The frame consists of a runway track with two ‘A’ frames and four wheels on the bottom to make it portable. The frames are usually fitted with a manual chain block on either a manual or geared trolley, which can be seperate or integral. They are often used by maintenance staff to straddle a machine under repair in order to remove heavy components or as engine hoists in garages. Appropriate Legislation - LOLER |
